About Me
I graduated from Judson High School in 1995. I received my Bachelors of Arts in History, and minored in English and Secondary Education from Sam Houston State Universityin 1999. I started my teaching and coaching career in the North East School District at Eisenhower Middle School. While there, I earned my Masters in Administration from Texas A&M at Kingsville. I taught and coached at Eisenhower for three years, and decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada and teach for a year. After my adventure in Las Vegas, I moved back to Texas to teach and coach at Stinson. This is my twelfth year at Stinson, and my sixteenth year as a teacher. I will be teaching eighth grade U.S. History. I am also coaching boy's football, basketball, and track.
I have been married for ten years to Janelle. She is a counselor in Northside at O’Connor High School. We have two daughters, Breanne Lillian Appleby and Allyson Elizabeth Appleby. They both bring such joy to our world. Both are getting bigger each and every day. Breanne will enter her second grade this year. Allyson is entering first grade this year.
I love teaching for several reasons, but the main reason is to change lives. I am extremely excited about the upcoming year, and wish all students great success in their educational experience this 2014-2015 school year.
